Dear Anand Patwardhan,
I have seen War and Peace on DD national today. I wish to convey to you my deepest
gratitude for having made this film. Even as it bared the facts, I think the
strength of the film was the manner in which the truth was told. There was no
preaching and there was an inherent respect for the viewer. No attempt was made
to indoctrinate and the hypocrisy of the political, scientific, intellectual
community was thoroughly exposed. We have all seen these event unfold over the
years but it required a film maker with a conscience to make our inner voice
talk to us again. I think the time has come for us to take a stand and work tirelessly
for disarmament and world peace.
